PFW: Where do we go from here, Froggies?
The Perfect Football Weekend cranks up for another go-round - which, if you know me at all, means it's time to put up with my bitching about TCU and the Cowgirls again. (grin)
My Arlington Heights Yellow Jackets are done for the year (sigh), so it's time to once again turn to one of my backup HS teams. Forney (the Spat's old hometown) didn't do so well this year, so we'll go with Backup HS Team Number Two - the Royse City Bulldogs. Her Doublewideness taught for a year in that district before they got tired of her act - and besides, I know one of the coaches of the team. (grin) They play Kaufman tonight in the area round of the playoffs. Kaufman lost earlier this year to Kennedale, whom Royse City beat last week, so a Bulldog victory seems likely.
Sunday, the Cowgirls will travel to Baltimore to take on the Ravens and noted accused-double-murderer-how'd-he-get-out-of-that-gangsta-wannabe Ray Lewis. Naturally, the Cowpies will roll over and play dead for anyone who even looks at them funny, so yet another mediocre group will run over them.
Saturday, the Oklahoma Sooners travel to Waco to see if they can (snicker) beat - no, seriously, I'm trying to keep a straight face here - Baylor.
Oh, Hell with it - BWAH-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...!!!!! (snort)
Baylor just suspended five of its players, including one of its starting wideouts, so I doubt very seriously that an upset is in the offing. See you at the Big 12 championship game.
On to TCU. Last year, after the BCS-party-crashing-wannabe Froggies went to Hattiesburg and laid an egg against the Southern P*ss Golden Showers, I circled this game. Southern Pee is notoriously bad on the road, and they had to come here this year. Lord Spatula was going to Have His Revenge, D@mmit!!!
Just one small problem: Now that Dennis "The Mercenary" Franchione's boys are all gone...TCU flat out sucks. I believe I may have mentioned that to you...?
This is going to be yet another case of the highly-resistible force meeting the highly-movable object. It'll be interesting to see who caves first. The Spatula City BBS! Department of Friendly Wagers will open that bet with TCU at 4 to 1.
On caving, that is.
Back Monday for the recap. In the meantime, feel free to Talk Trash about your teams - or take me up on my bet. Whichever. (chuckle)
