Your tax dollars at work

Those of you who've known me for any length of time know that I think the symbol of the Demoscummic party should be this:

And nowhere was that more evident than yesterday in Congress, Denizens, when the Congresscritters in the United States Demoscummic Party went out of their way, thereby wasting your tax dollars and mine, to hold up the official re-election of President Bush for up to two hours, while Demoscum after Demoscum walked up to the lecturn and bitched about the way their excuse-for-a-candidate got his qetchup-ass handed to him in Ohio.

The challenge does not jeopardize Bush's November win over Democratic Sen. John Kerry. But the House and Senate, as legally required, began separate debates on the Ohio irregularities. It marked only the second time since 1877 that the House and Senate were forced into separate meetings to consider electoral votes.

Your tax dollars at work, Denizens.  Two hours that could've been spent debating aid for tsunami victims in South Asia, two hours that could have been spent drafting legislation to deal with our immigration problems, two hours that could have been used to craft next year's budget - wasted  because the Demoscummic Party wanted to do anything it could to forestall the official election of George W. Bush to the Presidency for a second time.

The joint session began as required by law at 1 p.m. EST, with Vice President Dick Cheney presiding as the Senate's president and about 100 lawmakers present. One by one and in alphabetical order, certificates of each state's electoral votes were withdrawn from ceremonial mahogany boxes and read aloud.

Sixteen minutes into the session when Ohio's votes were read, Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones, D-Ohio, issued her challenge, saying the votes "were not under all of the known circumstances regularly given."

Translation:  "More of them were for that wascally Wepublican, George W. Bush, than for our Botox Boy!!!"

Her challenge to Ohio's 20 electoral votes - which put Bush over the top - was joined by Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif. By law, a protest signed by members of the House and Senate requires both chambers to meet separately for up to two hours to consider it. Lawmakers are allowed to speak for no more than five minutes each.

Yeah.  Both chambers.  Both Republican-controlled  chambers.  IOW, Denizens, they could've had pictures of Bush with a gun in his hand and Teddy (hic!) Kennedy's bloody, lard-laden mass on the floor...quite the appealing visual, but I digress...and it wouldn't have mattered one damned bit!!!

Bush had all the Electoral Collage votes he needed, and all this pathetic stunt by the Demoscum did was delay the inevitable.  Again, Denizens - your tax dollars at work!

"I have concluded that objecting to the electoral votes from Ohio is the only immediate way to bring these issues to light by allowing you to have a two-hour debate to let the American people know the facts surrounding Ohio's election," Boxer wrote in a letter to Tubbs Jones, a leader of the Democratic effort.

Translation:  "We're gonna spend two hours whining and bitching about the fact that Bush won, dammit!!!!!"

"The goal is to debate the issue," Tubbs Jones said in an interview. "And why not? We go across the world trying to ensure democracy, but there are some problems with the process in the United States."

"Those meeeeeeean ol' Republicans keep winning!!!  WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!"

Underscoring that the result was not in doubt, Kerry, who conceded to Bush the day after the Nov. 2 election, said he would not join the challenge. The four-term Massachusetts senator was in the Middle East, thanking U.S. troops for their service.

In a statement, Kerry said there are "very troubling questions" about the Ohio voting and he would present a plan later to improve voting procedures.

Translation:  He's gonna try to come up with a way to rig the elections so that they're easier to steal.

On Wednesday, Rep. John Conyers of Michigan, top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, issued a report claiming "numerous, serious election irregularities in the Ohio presidential election," and cited machine shortages and extremely long lines in minority and Democratic precincts.

Yeah, he claimed  this and he cited  that, but he couldn't prove  a fucking thing.  That's why they keep losing elections!!!   Instead of being gracious and giving us a hearty "congratulations" on a hard-fought victory, they have to stamp their feet like the shitheaded little pisspot brats they are and throw a temper-tantrum about the whole thing.

This was People's Exhibit Numero Uno (a little Spanish lingo, there) as to why these fuckheads are not deserving of the seats in government they do  have - and why this country will be a lot better off when they're gone.
