Awwwwwww...
Looks like someone got his panties in a wad because I - and most of the right-thinking bloggers on the Right Side Of The Blogosphere don't think this is much of a story.
So what if a commentator accepted $250K from the Department of Education for No Child Left Behind??? Don't we regularly subsidize Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in America, to spread their half-assed, pathetic message of "Choice on Earth" - an outright slap-in-the-face of Christianity? And you don't see any liberal moonbats bitching about that.
Nor do you see anyone on the Jackass Side of the Aisle piss or moan about Bill Moyers' Now program on the Pathetic Broadcast System when he hasn't had a good thing to say about a Republican since Gerald "RINO" Ford was in the White House. Do you?
(SIDE NOTE: I'm well aware that Mr. Williams has publicly apologized for his role in this. That's nothing more than spinelessly caving in to the Lame Stream Media on this - and if I'm to lose any respect for him, it'd be for this. I've very little respect for anyone who can't stand up to a liberal wussy-boy and tell same what to go do with himself.)
So now here's Uncle Horny doesn't like the fact that we Warbloggers have better things about which to write.
Yeah, well, there's generally a reason: We don't think there's a story there. Media type gets money from political type, dog bites man, what's the big deal?
Why? You Demoscummic types do it all the time - it's called PBS.
Yeah, see, here's the problem: Armstrong Williams has went and left the plantation. He's sided with the Bush camp on NCLB...and, well, we just can't have that, now can we?
Precisely, dumbass - because we talk about news - we don't wring our hands in angst over something that happens every damned day at The Network That's Government Subsidized But Still Has To Beg For Money.
Oh, so let me get this straight: If it's generally critical of anything Republican, it's an "intelligent post"...
...but if it's supportive of the Bush Administration's initiatives, it's "parroting the GOP talking points".
This from someone who likely worships at the altar of Mikey Fatfuck, hanging on every piece of his verbal flatulence.
YeahRight.
And I told him what I thought about it, too:
Oh, well - at least I increased his hit count from three to four. (snicker)

Shocking
Well, not really.
Nothing on the Armstrong Williams payola story from:
Captain's Quarters
Powerline
Little Green Footballs
A-I Rottweiler
Blogs for Bush
Yeah, well, there's generally a reason: We don't think there's a story there. Media type gets money from political type, dog bites man, what's the big deal?
Do you know why? It's indefensible to use taxpayer money for policy promotion.
Why? You Demoscummic types do it all the time - it's called PBS.
It's also much more comfortable to keep the blinders on.
Yeah, see, here's the problem: Armstrong Williams has went and left the plantation. He's sided with the Bush camp on NCLB...and, well, we just can't have that, now can we?
But if you want to find out about RatherGate, Clinton's privates, Kofi Annan's family, the unfair treatment of TortureBoy or the Office Superstore you know where to go.
Precisely, dumbass - because we talk about news - we don't wring our hands in angst over something that happens every damned day at The Network That's Government Subsidized But Still Has To Beg For Money.
(You can find an intelligent post on it [at Captain's Quarters].)

Spatula City can also be added to the list of bloggers who don't think this is worth posting on. Instead, Mr Spatula hasparroted the GOP talking points perfectlyleft a marginally clever comment below.

And I told him what I thought about it, too:
Oh, yeah, I'm disappointed with Armstrong Williams.
For caving in to the whiny little pisspots.
Why don't Lautenberg the Illegal Senator, Teddy (hic!) Kennedy and Harry "Waaaaaah!" Reid whine and bitch about things like 60 Minutes' shameless self-promotion of Big Dickhead Clarke's diatribe by CBS' book division, Simon & Schuster?
Or PBS using taxpayer dollars to fund bullshit like Bill Moyers' pathetic little screeds on his "Now" program? (I mean, really - Hannity's program is suddenly "pornography"???)
Oh, that's right - Armstrong Williams was advocating the Bush education plan. Can't possibly do anything to make Bush look good - that'd violate the Lame Stream Media's manifesto.
Puh. Leeze. :-/
