PFW: Best quarterback vs. worst secondary
Talk about the irresistible force versus the very movable object.
The Perfect Football Weekend cranks up once again tonight - a little early this week so that TCU can get a head start on their winter plans, seeing as they likely won't go to a bowl this year.
Tonight they'll be in Louisville, Kentucky to play the Cardinals and the nation's number-1 ranked offense, featuring one of the best quarterbacks in the country, Stefan LeFors. Louisville positively shredded the Miami defense for one half, and very nearly held on to top the Hurricanes. TCU flat-out doesn't have a chance this week, and I will predict here that the final margin is at least 30.
Friday night, my Arlington Heights Yellow Jackets take on the Birdville Hawks (no, I'm not making that name up) over in Flower Mound, about 10-15 miles from here. Think I may actually go to that one.
Saturday, the Oklahoma Sooners get to tee off on the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Bill Callahan's failedMidWest Coast Offense. This is where Bo Pelini gets his revenge on Nebraska for disrespecting him and not even seriously considering him for their head coaching position this year. Suffice it to say, I can't wait - I want Pelini to take the ball and shove it right down Nebraska's throat.
The Cowgirls...don't lose Sunday. Guaranteed. That's because they play the Ph***adelphia Beagles at home Monday night. So they'll lose on Monday night. (grumble) I'm setting the over-under for Vinny Testaverde sacks and/or fumbles at 8. Give me the over for a batch of wings, anyone?
We'll come back Tuesday for the recap. (And in case anyone was wondering - no, that doesn't mean I'm taking the rest of the week off as far as posting, mkay?)
Your turn now. Time to talk trash about your teams/arch rivals/etc...
