See-BS at it again

Wasn't bad enough that See-BS got caught with its @$$ hanging out with ForgeryGate.  It's not bad enough that their viewership has dropped like a Pedro Martinez curveball.

No, now  we find that See-BS still  hasn't learned its lesson:  They were planning an "October Surprise"-type news report, detonating it as if it were an IED along the side of an Iraqi road.

That is, before NBC threw a monkeywrench into the works - by stating that it wasn't the Bush Administration's fault that the explosives were missing in the first place.

Jeff Fager, executive producer of the Sunday edition of 60 MINUTES, said in a statement that "our plan was to run the story on October 31, but it became clear that it wouldn't hold..."

Translation:  We had the Bush campaign by the short hairs, until that b@$4@rd Jim Miklaszewski f***ed us up."

It is not clear who exactly shopped an election eve repackaging of the missing explosives story.

The LA TIMES claims: The source on the story first went to 60 MINUTES but also expressed interest in working with the NY TIMES... "The tip was received last Wednesday."

Oh, I have a Rather  good idea where I'd start looking, don't you?

Naturally, Democrats - being desperate for anything, anything  that might get them an extra vote - disregarded the old adage about looking before leaping, and jumped on this like white on rice.  John-John the Ambulance Chaser, who's making Dan Quayle look more & more like Al Einstein every day, had this to say:

Edwards claimed today in Wilmington, Ohio: "These are exactly the kind of explosives terrorists want. They're the dangerous weapons we wanted to keep from falling in the hands of terrorists. And now these explosives are out there, and we have no idea who's got them. Dick Cheney calls that a remarkable success."

He failed to mention that the pro-Democrat Times, whose recent endorsement of the Kerry-Edwards ticket was the nation's most obvious redundancy since the coining of the term "liberal media bias," refused to report reality: that the explosives were already missing from Al-Qaqaa when GIs got there a mere one day after Saddam Hussein's fall.

Y'know, first they claimed we rushed to war.

But mark my words, Denizens:  Any day now, once (if?) they pull their heads out of their @$$3$...they're gonna try to claim that we didn't get there soon enough.

Oh, the irony... (snicker)
