Dems can't win for losing (snicker)

You would think that the Demoscum would get a clue and quit while they were behind.

But oh no, my friends - not while there's still an election to lose.  Not the party of Terry McAwful.  After all, why settle for a 4 or 5-point deficit when you can really  stick your foot in your mouth and make it a 12-point hole???

So here's Boy Terry, his party having had its derriére  handed to it last week in the wake of ForgeryGate - I'd blog on it, but everyone else has by now, and they did a much better job of it - when they announce plans to go after Bush's service record anew.  "Bush said he served in the Air Force.  One problem:  He didn't", they were crowing.

Then Drudge posted a .pdf of Bush's 120-day active stint in...uh...the United States Air Force. (NOTE:  Link requires Adobe Acrobat reader)

Eh, I believe the technical  term for that would be "oops".

And to think, ForgeryGate hasn't yet been fully linked to the Demoscum, and Bush still has that double-digit lead.

As stated previously - if those forged documents get tied back to Boy Terry or his minions Carville, Begala or Davis - we could be looking at a mushrooming of that lead to 30, maybe 40 points.

I can't wait. (chortle)

Was a great weekend up until today:

TCU 44, SMU 0
Oklahoma 63, UHouston 13
Dallas 17, Minne-haha 35

The long-overdue squash I demanded of Gary Patterson happened Saturday night.  And it couldn't have happened to a more deserving team.

This was the same SMU bunch that was whining all week about how they should've beaten the Frogs last year in Dallas, and about how the Frogs were soooooooo  overrated.  How's that crow taste, Shetland Ponies?

I told you Bob Stoops up in Norman wasn't a happy camper, didn't I?  From the performance Saturday night in holding a productive Houston offense to 13 points, I surmise that the chewing out he gave the OU defense was received.

On to the Cowboys.  It's scant wonder that Daunte Culpepper is so prolific as a passer.  The way the ViQueens line holds every down, I could probably complete a few of those passes, too.

Given the amount of holding I saw on the part of Minne-haha today, you could've given me a secondary of Deion, Champ Bailey, Darrell Green, Cliff Harris & Charlie Waters - and Culpoopsie would still  go 25 for 32.

The 'Boys fought hard, and I liked most of what I saw today.  Our secondary, though, reeks.

There should be no problem with the offense, assuming the line stays healthy.  This is likely the best line we've had in about five or six years.  We'll get at least two All-Pros out of it.  Vinny, as long as he can manage the game, should manage to hang around long enough for Drew Henson to take over halfway in.  And our running game is vastly improved over Troy Hambrick tripping over his own feet.

The defense?  Can't tell you until I see the line operate against a team that doesn't clutch and grab like a teeny-bopper on his first date.  The secondary, however, still needs work.
