Yeah, I'd like to come up with something cutesy to open this with, but I can't

So I'll say it straight out:  The Boston Globe is full of s***.

Their half-a**ed effort to play Goebbels and smear President Bush on his way to knocking the crap out of their favorite son, Botox Boy, smacks of desperation.  They know their boy's on his way to having his qetchup-@$$ handed to him.  They know Bush is right on the issues.  They know that the country is starting to see that too.  They see Bush's numbers skyrocketing; they see Botox Boy sinking like an anchor.  So they're trying anything they can to smear the good name of the president.

In February, when the White House made public hundreds of pages of President Bush's military records, White House officials repeatedly insisted that the records prove that Bush fulfilled his military commitment in the Texas Air National Guard during the Vietnam War.

But Bush fell well short of meeting his military obligation, a Globe reexamination of the records shows

"A Globe reexamination of the records"?  So we're supposed to trust the fox guarding the henhouse when he says that no chickens are missing?  We're supposed to just blindly take the Glub's  word for it when they say Bush didn't honor his commitment?

He didn't meet the commitments, or face the punishment, the records show

And how does the Boston Glub  know that, hm?  Because the records say so???

According to records released earlier this year, Bush earned 253 points in his first year, May 1968 to May 1969 (since he joined in May 1968, his service thereafter was measured on a May-to-May basis).

And during the ensuing years, Bush earned (in order) 340 points, 137 points, 112 points, 56 points and 56 points.

This when the Guard mininum - what you had  to accumulate - was 50 points per year.  IOW, Bush more than fulfilled  his obligation every friggin' year he was in the Guard.

But the Boston Gharaib  won't tell you that, will it?  And that's because they see their homie - Kerry - about to have his ketchup-@$$ handed to him in November, and it sticks in their craw; they can't deal with it.

And the Gharaib  isn't the only outlet that's in a full-scale panic over Bush's impending victory.  According to Hannity, NBC's Today  show was supposed to give three whole segments today to hugely discredited tabloid novelist Kitty Kelley.

And CBS last evening trotted out former Sleazer of the Texas House and disgraced Sharpstown scandal-boy Ben Barnes to whine about how he pulled strings to get Bush in the Texas ANG in the first place, and how he was sooooooooo  sorry.

Well, he's sorry, all right, but for far many more reasons than that.

Incidentally, according to a press release by our friends at the GOP, ol' Sharpstown Benny claimed Wednesday evening that he acted on behalf of Bush 41 to get W into the guard.  However,  the former Texas Lie-tenant Lieutenant Governor in 1999 claimed that he was not acting on behalf of the Bush family at all  - but rather, an unnamed Houston businessman.  So he's either lying now or he was lying then.  Which is it, Sharpie?

The point, guys, is this:  20 years ago, Lichter and Rothman reported on the liberal bias in the media.  With the exception of Fox News and selected tokens amongst the major networks, CNN and MSNBC, that bias has gotten worse.  It's gotten to the point where the liberal lapdogs don't care any more about even trying  to present the impression of being objective.  At times, you can even hear the abject glee in their voices as they report news detrimental to Republicans in general and the President in particular.

Case in point:  the media's treatment of the 1,000th casualty in the Iraq stage of the War on Terror.  Limbaugh has a perfect take on it here.  And People's Exhibit Number One to back this us is the NY Daily News'  report on that casualty:

With two months to go before the election and U.S. support for the Iraq war waning, the sad statistics, which include noncombat deaths in Iraq, could be a blow to Bush.

See that?  Sounds suspiciously  as if they're happy about that prospect.

These scuzballs in the liberal media would rather see Hitler in the White House than another Bush term.  And they're going to do whatever is necessary to ensure this, if they can.

Our task is to make sure that we call BS on these simps whenever we see it.  Don't hesitate to call shenanigans and label these fools as liars when you see them spewing.  Liars are exactly what they are; they've deserved the label, and still do.
