Bush hands election to Botox-boy; film at 11

First things first.  The 48-hour rule is in effect. (For the Uninitiated, the 48-hour rule means that we in the Blogosphere wait 48 hours before we go nuclear on this.

Now.  Hat tip to Denizen David Hartung for alerting me to this one.

If you'll recall, I ripped Eddie Benedict Arnold Johnson a new one for pantingly begging Kofi Decaf to send his Smurfs to watch our elections.

Now it seems as if President Waffleya is going to give these traitorous scumbags exactly what they want...

When 13 Democratic members of the U.S. Congress asked United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan to send election monitors to the U.S. this fall, the move outraged many Republicans and other proponents of national sovereignty.

When those same 13 Democratic members of Congress were turned down by Annan, they took their request to Secretary of State Colin Powell – again to the shock of many Republicans and those who warn about foreign entanglements.

Just like the Demoscum, isn't it?  Don't get the result they want from one "judge", they go court-shopping until they find one who'll get in bed with 'em.

And is it to anyone's  surprise that it's Colon "Secretary of RINOs" Bowel, this time?

Assistant Secretary of State Paul V. Kelly, who handles legislative affairs for the department, affirmed the invitation this week in a letter to the 13 House members. They had requested U.N. monitors for this year's elections in an effort to avoid the charges of voting irregularities that plagued the 2000 election, the closest in history.

Now, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the largest regional organization in the world with 55 participating nations, will monitor the U.S. election on Nov. 2. Members include Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Russia, Spain and the United States.

"OSCE members, including the United States, agreed in 1990 in Copenhagen to allow fellow members to observe elections in one another's countries," Kelly wrote.

If that's true,  it means that you EUrinals were begging us to come monitor elections in YOUR countries, not  the reverse.

"Consistent with this commitment, the United States has already invited the OSCE's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) to observe the November 2, 2004, presidential elections."

Okay at this point, there are three possibilities:

1. All of this is BS, and this didn't happen at all (remember the 48-hour rule),
2. Mr. Kelly did this without the proper authorization (Colon Bowel's say-so isn't enough, thank you very much), or
3. This came from Shrubya himself, and it's bona fide  going to happen.

If it's Option 3, then that's it, as far as I'm concerned.  I don't give a flip who  Waffleya asked to "monitor" our elections - whether it's the United Nitwits, this "Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe" or his freakin' Aunt Matilda - if Bush asked ANYONE  to "monitor" our elections, I can't get rid of this cancerous jackboot soon enough.

It's bad enough that Shrub has caved in to the Demoscum's demands.  And it's even worse that, in this matter, it's not even the first  time that this has happened (go to the end of the story to see).

This is our  country; these are our  elections, and it's our  soverignty with which George W. Bush is playing pussyfoot.  We are the most democratic nation on the face of the bloody Earth.  And to suggest that EUroweenies - many in countries that wouldn't know democracy if it bit them on their backsides - know more than we do about how to select our leaders...that is a backhand across the face of every American in every state in the Union.

I'm not going to stand for it, and neither should anyone else.  If you're a EUroweasel, you'd do best to stay clear of us on November 2nd.  As I've said before, we don't react well to outsiders who try and tell us how to have an election.

UPDATE:  The point was made last night by liberal and former tech wizard "Nneba" that, since we're an open and free society, why shouldn't  we let the world watch these elections?

Normally, I don't give a liberal - not even Nneba - an even break.  And I reminded him of this point last night in my response.

My response:  It - to paraphrase He Whom We'd Just As Soon Forget, aka Der Kaiser - all depends on what the word "observe" means.  If it means "watch and learn,  then there's no problem at all.  By all means, come see how we do things around here.

If, on the other hand, it means "watch and monitor...then all bets are off, and the original post stands as written.
