Back behind the bar, Guinan

Speaking of Whooped-Ass Goldfart - yes, we were, see below - Chris Muir has nailed it regarding the bimbo behind the Enterprise bar.

Go have a look, if you haven't already.

How unbiased can this turd be?

Misha - well, Sir George, actually - has a great post on Cynthia McKinney - who, if memory serves was one of the unconstitutional Congresscritters of the 90s, due to some judge declaring her district illegally gerrymandered.

Well, she's running again, and George posted a list of her contributors.  One of whom - no surprise here - is Eddie Bitchipoo Jackoff, she of the "UN!!!  Come help us steal this election!!!" bullshit of a couple of weeks ago.

But another name I caught on that contributor list...is that of one James Zogby - who, during the 90s, established himself as an accurate, trustworthy and unbiased pollster.

That is, until now.  I'm not inclined to believe any further "polls" this jackass cranks out...and if you ask me, neither should you.

Getting to the heart of the matter.

A lot of times, I'll compare the stuff I write here to stuff I read elsewhere in the Blogosphere.  I'll sit there and admire Misha's and BC's gifts for...um...colorful invective  (yeah, that's the ticket); my mouth will drop in awe at Frank J's mastery of the concept of humor; I'll gaze in abject wonder at Bill Whittle's masterpiece essays - right before I post those belonging to my own answer to him, Bob Blount - who himself is simply amazing with fingers & keyboard.

And then I look at the stuff I write and wonder:  Why can't I  write like that?

Maybe it's that I didn't pay enough attention in English Comp I in college. (Believe me - had you had my  instructor in that class, you wouldn't have wanted to, either.  Sheesh.)

Maybe it's because I don't (Can't???) spend enough time doing legwork, research, or whatever it is that allows these masters to come to the blogging table fully armed.

Or maybe it's just that I'm not talented enough.  Wouldn't be the first time.

But then the epiphany hits me as I'm fighting sleep (well, it is  1:00 in the morning as I write this, y'know).  The reason that I don't expound, elongate or otherwise lengthen my posts here to levels approaching War and Peace  is simple.

That.  Just.  Ain't.  Me.

From my days in Fidonet, I have always excelled in getting to the point on things.  I always left the lengthy whys & wherefores to folks like Jeff Duke, the aforementioned Mr. Blount, Robert Craft, Tom & Wendy Buchanan, ad infinitum, ad nauseam.   Whereas others would take two paragraphs to tell a troll he was an ass, I was content to say, "You're an ass" and let it go at that.

Well, I might have thrown a good, hearty "Fuck you and the horse you rode in on" in there for emphasis.  Or something. (grin)

Does that serve me well?  Not as well as I'd like; perhaps I'll get better at verbosity with time (read: old age).  Otherwise, it'd probably behoove me to stick with what I know best - coming right out and saying something's bullshit (if it is so), rather than examining the stench six ways from Sunday.

Which, by the way, it is now - so I probably ought to plant head on pillow.  Laterz.

UPDATE:  By the way, Denizens, there's something I've been meaning to tell you that I've not said a helluva lot lately.

Thanks for reading.  Really am grateful you guys are out there.

Thatisall. (grin)
