Oh, wow. Surprise. Big shock.
MIAMI - So I'm to believe that this is "Camelot" all over again? Only this time, John-John runs with John-Boy, instead of playing his son?
Ketchup@$$ this morning tabbed the Trial Lawyers' Trial Lawyer, aka He Who Is In The Pocket Of Trial Lawyers & Special Interests, John-John Edwards, the New Breck Girl of the Senate.
Breckie has a couple things going for him, but on balance, he's just another LIbEral (note the caps) who wants to tell you how, when and where you can live your life.
It should come as little surprise how Ketchup@$$ is trying to win back the Arousal Gappers' vote (a little Rush lingo, there) that left Algore after suffering orgasm after orgasm for Kaiser Wilhelm von Skirtchaser in '92 and '96.
On a more serious note, though - yes, this ticket absoulutely has potential to defeat Bush in November, as hard as that seems to believe. However, one thing is abundantly clear: Kerry/Edwards must not be allowed to occupy the White House in January 2005. I guaran-damn-tee you that Botox Boy will take us down the cheese-eating surrender-monkey path if that's allowed to happen.
The first thing I'd do therefore - if I were Bush - is quietly convince Dick Cheney that he'd make a far better Director of the CIA than he would a Vice-President, and that he decline the nomination for Veep at the convention.
Next thing I'd do is - yes, I know, I cringe at the prospect, too - place an immediate call to Rudy Giuliani.
The reason is simple: Cheney's negatives are bringing down the Bush campaign, and Rudy's numbers are still sky-high, even as low-profile as he's been lately. Plus, he automatically delivers New York and Gawd knows which other Northeastern states to the Republicans in November.
Third thing I do is what I've been insisting needs to have been done already Level Fallujah & Najaf, and any other strongholds in the so-called "Sunni Triangle". That sends a strong message to the terrorists (as well as to Bush's conservative base) that we're tired of fucking around and intend to do what we've said we're going to do. That, in turn, will energize the conservative base, as well as bring the pro-war faction of the so-called "swing vote" back over to our side. And when the anti-war, pro-surrender Fascist Left goes and bitches about it, Bush tells them, in no uncertain terms, what they can go do with themselves.
The last thing I do: Chop fifty cents right now off gas taxes - use an Executive Order if you have to. Last I heard, roughly eighty to ninety cents of the price of every gallon of gasoline went to federal, state and local taxes; the bulk of that, of course, is federal. Cut taxes, and not only do you give the economy another jump start, you bring more money into the Treasury, as well. It's win-win for everyone. Well, except the Demoscum. (snicker)
Do these four things, and it's a landslide Bush victory in November, and we can then set up Rudy v. the Duchess Hilarious in '08.
