Pat Tillman:  1976-2004

Pat Tillman was one helluva football player for the Arizona Cardinals.  And, as the Cardinals of his day didn't have very many of them, that just made Pat Tillman stand out all the more.

Pat Tillman was also a helluva man.  He turned down a multi-million dollar contract to continue playing for the Cards in order to go serve his country as a member of the US Army Rangers.

Today, Pat Tillman was killed in action in Afghanistan.

There are not words sufficient to honor this man for the sacrifice he made for his country, so I will not even try.

I will say that the Realm sheds several tears for his family, his unit and his country.  All these have just lost one helluva human being.

May God be with the Tillman family.

Yesterday was my first wife's birthday.  Now 40, she's now joined the ranks of the over-the-hill gang, mheh.

And oh, by the way - yesterday was also, by the sheerest of coincidences, Enviromental-Case-Wacko-Orgasm Day, otherwise known as *spit* Earth Day *spit*.
