Eh, what was that about a "jobless recovery"...?
As LC Verbena said in this thread, the Demoscum - especially, I would add, John F'n KetchupA$$ - must be shitting their pants right about now.
One of the few remaining bullets in the Donk chamber just fired a blank. The job market just took a drastic turn upward.
The report offers comfort to President Bush as the jobs market -- a hot political issue in the U.S. presidential campaign -- finally made a decisive break out of a long slump. Nevertheless, U.S. jobs lost since early 2001 still number a hefty 1.8 million.
Yeah, Fox, well - you will recall that there was a slight mitigating circumstance...you know, the attack on our country by the Islamofascists?
Let's hope this keeps up. If so, it'll be a massive landslide in November.
I hate IBM
I'm working on trying to multicast an XP image onto an IBM ThinkPad. This is a Pentium M with only USB ports for the floppy & CD-ROM.
None of my boot disks are working. None of the DOS drivers I have for this thing are finding the NIC. Yet the BIOS sees the NIC, and PXE is responding (no, PXE is not set up on my server - you find me something that works with Advanced Server 2000).
I. Hate. IBM. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
