The Fighting Maccabees...?

I suppose that, given enough contortions, this could fit in the "With friends like these..." file.

I mean, it's bad enough that Christians have the world trying to drive them into the ground.  But when we do it to each other, as seems the case with this couple...then it's especially troubling...

A couple was arrested after their argument over a theological point turned physical following a night at the movies to see "The Passion of the Christ."

Oh, please.  I realize that Passion  is engendering a great deal of debate, but c'mon...

The two left the theater debating whether God the Father in the Holy Trinity was human or symbolic, and the argument turned violent when they got home, Melissa Davidson said.

Y'know, you guys could've  asked someone.

God is not human - at least, not in the way we  know humanity to be - and if there's one thing He's not,  it's symbolic.

He's...well...God.   What about that do you two find difficult?

"It was the dumbest thing we've ever done," she said.

Now there's  something with which I can wholeheartedly agree.

Davidson, 34, and her husband, Sean Davidson, 33, were charged with simple battery on March 11 after the two called police on each other.  Messages left with police Thursday were not immediately returned.

According to a police report, Melissa Davidson suffered injuries on her left arm and face and Sean Davidson had a scissor stab on his hand and his shirt was ripped off. Sean Davidson also had punched a hole in the wall, according to the report.

Hmmmm.  Maybe I should turn these guys loose on some of my trolls...
