Okay, who are you and what've you done with the real  Paul Harvey???

Used to be, when you heard the dulcet tones of "Hello Americans, this is Paul Harvey. Stand by for NEWS!!!", you knew what you were going to get. You were in for 5 to 15 minutes of straight news, unvarnished, from a perspective with which you could wholeheartedly agree.

That is, until yesterday, when Paul caved in to the ragheads from CAIR.


Responding to a demand for apology from a Muslim lobby group, radio commentator Paul Harvey issued a conciliatory statement yesterday suggesting "Islam is a religion of peace."

Last week, the Washington, D.C.-based Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, contended Harvey defamed Islam in his noon commentary by asserting the religion "encourages killing."


Translation: Paul Harvey has ingested a gallon of Islamic Kool-Aid. He's caved in to the raghead bastards at (they don't) CAIR (about America or Americans). Or his sponsors did, one or the other.


In a statement after yesterday's broadcast, CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad said: "We would like to thank all those who took the time to speak out in defense of Islam. Once again, we see that positive actions bring positive results."


Once again, we see that advertisers cower when faced with the loss of their income. Not that any of it was coming from the ragheads, but still...


Awad also offered to arrange a meeting between Harvey and American Muslim leaders to "begin a dialogue on issues related to Islam."


Any dialogue with you,  Islamoswinian, should begin with your wrists in cuffs and the words, "You have the right to remain silent".

And that's if we're civil  about it. We seem to have forgotten that we're at war...


As WorldNetDaily reported, CAIR's chairman of the board, Omar Ahmad, was cited by a California newspaper in 1998 declaring the Quran should be America's highest authority.

Ahmad also was reported to have said Islam is not in America to be equal to any other religion but to be dominant.

Harvey's statement, which did not offer an explicit apology, was presented by a fill-in for his noon show, Doug Limerick.

About two-thirds through the 15- minute broadcast, Limerick said:

Last week [Harvey] told you about bloody cockfights in Iraq and mentioned the relationship between Islam and violence. He says he received several letters from dear friends in the American Muslim community who expressed their disgust with those who have hijacked their religion to achieve their goal through violence. They reminded all of us that Islam is a religion of peace, that terrorists do not represent Islam.

Somebody needs to remind you,  pisspot, that most of the people who've attacked America or American interests in the last decade have been devout followers of the Religion of Peace™. Someone needs to remind you that we've lost nearly 3500 of our friends and loved ones to the Religion of Peace™. Someone needs to remind you that the Religion of Peace™ calls for the extermination of what they call the "infidel". Someone needs to remind you that they consider us  to be the "infidel". Someone needs to remind you that they don't call us the "Great Satan" for nothing.
