All of these apply to everyone except h™.  Hemorrhoid, I'll treat you any way I damn well please. (snicker)


UPDATE: I've now added the history of Spatula City BBS! to the mix. It's been brought up-to-date to include the birth of the blog. If you ever wanted to experience the birth & death of a BBS, this is a good place to look.

Can swing voters really  be this stupid...?

From the Department of WTF?, comes a late entry from LC Darth Monkeybone via Misha, about a so-called "swing voter" who's so indecisive about whom he should vote for, that he's put up a blog to get the Uninitiated to help him decide.

(Note to self: Put "Uninitiated" in the glossary.)

Now. I just went over to the Swing Voter blog, and I have to admit - not even Hemorrhoid is that stupid.

Go over and have a look. Just don't be eating anything - you won't want to have to pick it up off the floor after the dropping of your jaw...

Bumblefuck delenda est...

Looks like the saga of Barney "Bumblefuck" Gumble of "Media Whores Online Watch Watch Watch Watch" has finally come to its expected end.

You remember Bumblefuck, of course - he's the NetKKKop who threatened to have a guy fired for disagreeing with him on his blog?

Yeah, that one. (And the same guy who threatened to snail-mail people at random and accuse me of being a pedophile, for that matter. I still haven't forgotten that one - and if I ever find him...)

Well, if you click on the first link up there, you'll see that MWOWWWW is...um..."under new management". Yeah, that's it. That's the ticket.

Basically, it comes down to this: Ol' Bumblefuck started getting a lot of traffic on his site and in his comments. And it was mostly stuff from our end of the Blogosphere. It got to be so bad that, try as he might, he couldn't delete it all.

So, he decided to go on hiatus, an event I covered here.

That's not the end of it, though.

Soon after, Bumblefuck deleted his entire blog,  leaving the URL unoccupied. Whereupon one of his biggest  critics, a guy who goes by "Bend Over Barney", immediately claimed the space as his own.

Good on ya, BOB. Very nicely done...

PFW: Bumps in the road...

Another potential Perfect Football Weekend got off to a good start last night, as my Arlington Heights Yellow Jackets rolled to a 20-6 victory over the Wyatt Chaparrals. Heights finishes the regular season 9-0, and plays Western Hills again next week for the district championship; should they win that, it would be (somebody correct me here?) their first in over 20 years. GO HEIGHTS!!!

TCU is off until Wednesday, when they're at home against the Louisville Cardinals in a game that will likely decide the championship of Conference USA. That game will be included in next  week's PFW.

Nebraska's Cornhuskers are in Austin today to plant another nail in Mack Brown's coffin when they roll over the University of Texas. I don't generally take part in the upside-down "Hook'em Horns" ritual, but today I'll make an exception. (grin)

Sunday, Dallas has the late game at home against the Washington Redskins. Bill Parcells takes Steve Spurrier to school in this one, I think.
