Atkins doesn't work...? (Part the Second)

Remember that dumbass Michael FuckinMental who claimed that Atkins doesn't work???

On Saturday, I climbed into 38-inch jeans for the first time in 18 - yes, I said eight-freakin'-teen - years. And I did it more than two months ahead of the goal I'd set for myself, which was 12/31/2003.

The hell  Atkins doesn't work...

UPDATE: Okay, so the link took you to the wrong archive page. It's fixed now... (grumble grumble)

Yet even more Bloglinkagery...this time, with apologies...

Going back through my email, I discovered that I had not yet linked to The Love Blog, written by Mark Hardig.

Mark, please accept my apologies. My bad.

Denizens, have a look. Quickly, lest Lancelot catch you napping and decide to start a tournament (trust me, guys, in the land of the Medieval, that is not  a good thing...)

PFW: It wasn't that they lost, it was how  they lost...

No PFW this weekend, as TCU & Nebraska came through, but the Cowgirls rolled over and played dead for the Tampa Bay Bucs and their resident goon, Warren Sapp.

Nebraska 28, Iowa State 0
TCU 62, Houston 55
Dallas 0, Tampa Bay 16

The Cornhuskers' Blackshirt defense rose to the occasion, shutting down the Iowa State attack. I need not have worried about this one.

TCU flat-out no longer has a secondary. Only the fact that Houston flat-out doesn't have a defense kept this one from fulfilling my prediction of a Frog loss. The games only get harder from here, so expectations of an undefeated season are likely not realistic.

Now for the Cowgirls: It wasn't so much that they lost - remember I did  predict that - it was how  they lost. They played Tampa Bay even up for about a quarter, then flat gave up.

If I was Bill Parcells, I'd cut every last one of the offensive linemen that played Sunday. They rolled over for the Bucs like my puppy wanting her tummy rubbed. Y'know, fellows, when Warren Sapp hits you, it is  okay to hit back. In fact, had you done so, he might've  backed down, y'think...?

For the season, my teams are now 28-3. Yeah, I'll take it...
