From the "Aw, dammit!" department - Molly Bitch Malcolm is leaving as head of the Texas Chickenshit...er, um, Demoscum...er, um, I had it right the first time (grin)...Party.
Molly Beth Malcolm, leader of the state Democratic Party, said Tuesday that she is resigning as chairwoman to focus on her family responsibilities.
Translation: She's getting the hell out of Dodge before the Demoscum can pin any more losses on her sorry ass.
"Family comes first. My obligations at home are now such that I can no longer devote the necessary time and attention this job requires," Malcolm said in her letter to the executive committee.
Translation: "I've pretty much turned the store over to the Republicans, so I guess I'll be on my merry way...uh, wait, what are you doing with that spiked ball...?"
Party spokesman Sean Byrne said there were no further details.
IOW, no word yet on exactly when Molly Bitch would have her head handed to her...literally.
Malcolm, a former Republican, took over the party in 1998, just as Republicans were taking over the state. She has attempted to lead a Democratic rebuilding effort, but the party has been trounced by Republicans in all statewide offices in the 1998 and 2002 elections.
In November, after Democrats lost another election, several statewide Democrats demanded her resignation, but Malcolm refused.
And see - this is the reason for the "Aw, dammit!". After such a sterling track record, do you think I want to see anyone else pick up the mantle?
Malcolm is the first woman chair of the Democrats. She was elected to her third term last year.
So much for the feminist movement. (chuckle)
In 2002, Malcolm and other Democratic leaders talked up their ethnically diverse slate of statewide candidates,
...while they conveniently ignored the fact that our slate was not only more talented and more in tune with the electorate of Texas - it was even more diverse, too... (chortle)
describing them as centrists who stood a strong chance of recapturing some high offices.
People, always remember - that's your first clue. When a Demoscum starts describing him-or-herself as "centrist", that's a dead giveaway that person is liberal as hell. You can't even spell liberal without LIE.
They all lost, and Republicans won enough seats in the Texas House to take control of the chamber for the first time in 130 years.
Do you see this, Royce "Hate Crime Stager" West? Do you see this, Leticia Van de Silly Putty? It's not Karl Rove or Rick Perry on whom you need to be blaming redistricting. It's Molly Bitch Malcolm!!! She all but handed us the right to redistrict when she couldn't keep your majority!!! BWAH-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... (snort)
"I leave this post with many warm memories," Malcolm said. "During my five and a half years, the party has achieved financial stability and is no longer in debt. We vastly improved our communications and delivered a message that sharply contrasted with the Republicans' hard-hearted, extreme conservatism."
Uh, how many statewide offices do the Demoscum hold again, Molly Bitch? Think that might have something to do with the fact that your ass is being forced out (and don't let anyone fool you into thinking we don't know - you are being forced out, you stupid trollop)?
