A-Fisking we will go...
The Maestro stepped up to the podium, the audience anxiously awaiting his performance.
He looked at his score, then up at the orchestra. Tapped his baton thrice to get their attention. Raised his hands in the air and...
As most of you know, I received an email a couple of days ago critical of my position on Terri Schiavo. The person writing the email subsequently indicated she wanted it kept private - but by then, she had already committed a grave error in judgment - she threatened my boy, which I will get to in a moment.
First though - I promised a Fisking of this email, and this would be it:
Thoroughly study the ethics that surround the issue before passing judgement
"Ethics" of course, being the code word meaning what the pro-death crowd wants to impose on us in place of the morals that have served us well for hundreds of years. Such as, for example, replacing the morals that have told us for millenia that it's wrong to kill a baby...with the "ethics" that try to impose the idea that it's perfectly okay to partially deliver that precious bundle...then jab a pair of scissors into the base of his skull and suck out the brains.
Yeah, I'm reeeeeeeeeal impressed with your "ethics", all right.
But, by all means. Let's talk "ethics".
Is it ethical to starve to death animals you'd find in a zoo? Lions, tigers or bears (oh my!)? Monkeys? Baboons? Elephants? Cheetahs? Zebras?
Is it ethical to starve a horse to death?
Is it ethical to starve a cow or a bull to death?
Is it ethical to starve a dog to death?
A cat?
Hamster? Ferret? Mice? Parakeet? Canary?
No?
Then suppose you tell me how the Hell it's supposed to be "ethical" to starve a human to death? Especially one you can't prove wants to die???
Oh, you say she does want to die?
You've talked to her? You can prove this?
No? You mean you'll sit there and pontificate at length at how each person "ought to make that choice for themselves", but we're supposed to take the word of a man who has a fuckin' mistress, for Gawd's sake, who's had one baby out of wedlock by her, with another on the way...a man who had a huge argument with Terri the day before she collapsed under those mysterious circumstances - and blithely think no, he doesn't have an agenda, he just wants what best for Terri?
How absolutely fuckin' white of him.
It should come as no surprise to anyone that the ACLU has now weighed in on this matter. They've decided to come down on the side of Michael the Tumblefucked, planning to help him sue to overturn Jeb Bush and the Florida Legislature's heroic efforts to save Terri.
Anyone else still need to be convinced that the ACLU is one of the most evil organizations in America today?
But don't take my word for it about your "ethics", pro-deathers. Read this article from NewsMax columnist Diane Alden and see who else shares your "ethics". Better yet, I'll bring you the pertinent information:
In an article that appeared in Ethics and Medicine, Vermaat gives us a glance at the way euthanasia evolved into mass killings in the Third Reich.
Vermaat states: "Karl Brandt, the head of Hitler's euthanasia program, claimed at his trial after the war: 'The underlying motive was the desire to help individuals who could not help themselves and were thus prolonging their lives of torment.'"
How nice to know that your "ethics" are the same that ultimately came to power in Nazi Germany.
and try to use language that is more than four letters, its such narrow mindedness that causes us such problems in staying in touch with everyone.
Tell you what - you don't like the four-letter words, stay the fuck off this blog.
You talk about speaking for the people but you are only speaking for one faction.
Yeah, I speak for one faction. It's a faction called the majority. You might study up on the concept.
In fact, hear it from the source, someone who can speak directly to this issue.
What, a scumball ACLU-wannabe?

And to think, he wanted them to "let [him] die", yet didn't have the balls to do himself in when he finally had the opportunity.
Guess that name's fairly descriptive, isn't it?
> Despite the blindness and disfigurement, Cowart

And apparently, he wants to kill off any future rubber-chicken-circuit competition, since he advocates for others what he wasn't willing to do for himself. You never know when someone else in that position might recover from a bad situation to flourish and thrive in life, but Coward seems to want not to give them that chance.
You know, the Nazis used to kill people they thought worthless, too.

Now. The person who wrote that letter also left a comment last night on this thread (this link may or may not work; if not, go here and look at the comments):
Luckily Steve and I are rather busy the rest of the week getting more HS friends together while he's here. Take care hun. But just think for a little while how public you really want to go...how's your son and ex-wife?
Bitch? You. Have. Just. Threatened. My. Son.
Lemme. Tell. You. Something.
You can do pretty much whatever the hell you want to my ex. I wouldn't recommend it, since she's extremely well-protected by her father - who, I might hasten to add, is quite well-armed, thank you.
But when it comes to my son, you fuckin' little syphilitic sow, you have Just Crossed The Line.
If I EVER catch you within five feet of my son - or, for that matter, ever catch you within five feet of me...
...you do not have enough friends; there are not enough Army Rangers, Navy Seals, Marines, Coast Guard...hell, there are not enough people on this planet to prevent what I'll do to you.
Bank on it, bitch.
